Aguas de Torremolinos and Hidralia will incorporate three students from the Higher Cycle Water Management of the IES Rosaleda into their Dual FP program

It is a pioneering system in Andalusia as it is the first time it has been carried out with students of this type of cycle

Aguas de Torremolinos and Hidralia, in their commitment to the creation of quality employment and the green reconstruction of municipalities in these difficult times of pandemic, will incorporate three students from the Higher Cycle of Water Management of the IES Rosaleda de Málaga until the end of the course 2020/21 within its Dual FP program.

The students, who have previously received training in ORP and against COVID-19 by the company, will be effectively incorporated on March 3 and will perform their functions in the work centers that the companies have located In Marbella, Rincón de la Victoria and Torremolinos, they will receive practical training three days a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) in shifts from 8 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.

All this has been announced at the control meeting held this Thursday, and in which were present the people in charge of Human Resources of Hidralia and Aguas de Torremolinos, Antonio Álvarez, Ángel López and Salvador Quesada; the cycle coordinator, Andrés Viedma; the teacher tutor of the students Miriam Rodriguez and the technical managers of the companies who will act as labor tutors for the students during their training, Juan Antonaya, Francisco Rodríguez and Andrés Turullols.

Viedma wanted to thank Aguas de Torremolinos and Hidralia for their involvement with the project: “We are very proud of how you have opted for us and how you have mobilized, that they bet in this way on this type of training is to be appreciated. We will continue to collaborate and try to make it bigger in order to train more professionals to work in leading companies in the sector”, he pointed out.

The project for training students in alternation at work centers is a pioneer in Andalusia as it is the first time that students from higher cycles of dual water cycle vocational training are welcomed. Previously, similar plans had been made, but involving senior college students.

These plans, which combine theoretical training with the acquisition of practical knowledge of FP students, and which already have a long history of success and a high rate of employability in other European countries, have two fundamental objectives: on the one hand, They are designed to fill the practical void that students often feel at the end of their training; and on the other, even more important, they serve to achieve the specialization of people who have a vocation so that they can obtain a quality job.
